Spotify app being removed from LG shortly?

Anyone have more info about this? I am situated in Sweden and have a LG 55B6 V OLED if that can help.

We can confirm that the Spotify app will be removed for some Smart TVs. Sometimes we add or remove features in order to help us improve our service. We hope to have the app available again for these devices in the future.

Unfortunately I listen to spotify mainly through my LG tv, it's one of the reasons I went for an LG tv, I'll be cancelling my subscription as soon as the app stops working as I just won't get the use out of Premium anymore.

I subscribed to Premium so that I can access my playlist on my LG TV too. Will consider cancelling if the app is no longer available.

I have a LG tv.  when will the app stop working and wshen will it come back.  why have the premium subscription if you cant get it thru your main soundsystem

You "hope to have the app available again"? I'm sorry, is this some kind of favor you're doing us?

I'm a family subscriber and will consider unsubscribing if this is the kind of treatment us customers should expect. LG TVs are arguably the best Smart TVs out there and extremely popular, and I won't buy a different brand just because Spotify arbitrarily removed their support.

Hmm, usually if you want to improve something, you release an update or a new app. But why remove it in the meanwhile? Also "we hope...in the future" is not that reassuring, that will get an app back anytime soon.

WHAT A SHAME!

The only reason I PAY for this service is the commodity that the app provides me to enjoy all the songs I can get on the internet FOR FREE on any device I have, and I also have an LG and I do love listening to these songs from it. Recently I have learned that Spotify limits us with a number of songs we can save on our library and now this. Keep messing up with my entertainment and I won't think twice of deleting my PREMIUM account and start doing illegal download again.

Same issue here. I mainly listen to Spotify on my LG TV. What am I supposed to do now? Old school connecting my laptop or smartphone via AUX??? DEFINITELY NO! That looks just stupid and outdated. 

I'm very disappointed from Spotify..
