Spotify app being removed from LG shortly?

Anyone have more info about this? I am situated in Sweden and have a LG 55B6 V OLED if that can help.

No more Spotify app on my LG smart TV is highly irritating and inconvenient. I don't get it- Spotify makes a million bucks a second and they can't update an app for TVs that millions own. Incredibly dumb.Get it together with a new app FAST or risk losing my business.

I'm also really angry, my television is only 6 months old and now the spotify app already stopped working! Furthermore I have also Onkyo NR717 receiver which also stopped working... WHAT IS THIS - DO SPOTIFY WANT US TO END LISTENING? 

On the same time they recommend to fix the issue by bying Google Chromecast - fine I will also cancel my spotify order on the same time and start using Google Play music. Nicely done spotify!

The app stopped working on my TV, I've now cancelled my subscription.

**bleep**??!! Put this app back NOW!!!! At least leave the existing app available whilst you 'improve your service'. Surely no service is not an improved service. Please let all us LG users know with some certainty that this app is definitely returning and WHEN!

You gotta wonder if any Spotify company folks ever read this. Plus it seems like smart TVs are getting more like dumb terminals and Roku, Apple TV, etc. are the brains. The big cable and satellite cos. don't seem interested in enabling Spotify who they probably see as competition as providers. Bottom line- the consumer screwed AGAIN.

I have the same problem, the app was deleted with the comment to use the web interface. The problem is this isn't working too! The wec interface is redirecting me to a statement, "you cannot use spotify..."

Is this a joke?

This is non-sense. Why to remove an app while working on better one? I don't know if you care about 1 customer but I am sure is not just me: i will cancel subscription. Was very happy with Spotify. Now I am disappointed.
