Just got a Note 10 plus and Galaxy Watch 42 mm and Spotify app not found in Galaxy Store app.

  • Spotify version - None - it is not available in the galaxy store on phone or watch.

The app is missing from the galaxy app store. It can only be found on Google's Play Store, and this is not included on a Gear S3 watch.

 

The app needs to be included in the Galaxy Play store in order for it to work on the watch (Which is clearly advertised as available on the watch both by Spotify and Samsung). 

 

I spent literally 5 hours on the phone with the time split between Spotify and Samsung. No solution.  The representatives from each company tried very hard and were very pleasant to work with. However, still no solution.

 

It is clearly advertised with both companies that the Gear S3 (and other watches posted on this thread) are compatible and able to use Spotify if the user has a premium account.

Would Spotify please push this to an engineer who has access to how updates are pushed to the Galaxy Store instead of trying to troubleshoot all of our devices? It's obviously not on our end. Just let them know so they can take a look. I spent hours with Spotify support only for them to cast me aside and say that they would elevate the issue and I would hear from a specialist. That was three days ago. I'm getting ready to take my business elsewhere.

Spotify needs to be added to the Galaxy Store. I just received my Galaxy Note 10+ (upgrade from Note 9) and when paired with my Galaxy Watch (46mm) I lost Spotify. Went to the Galaxy Store and it is not there. I have to revert back to my Note 9 and repair with my watch and install Spotify. Please fix!!!!

Thanks for all the reports about the app missing from the Galaxy Store on the Galaxy Watch 42mm. We've passed this on to our tech teams so they can look into it.

 

If you are experiencing this, please try to reinstall the app and reboot both your mobile device and watch.

 

If the app is still missing in the Galaxy Store after that, make sure to add your +VOTE and leave a comment with the following details:

  • Exact Spotify version
  • Which mobile device you use
  • its OS version
  • Which Watch you use
  • its OS version

I tried all the above and the app is still not available. I left all the requested details in an earlier post. I would just like to point out that the common thread isn't neccasarily the 42mm watch so much as it is the Note 10. Someone here in the comments could not get the app until they went back to the Note 9, using the same watch. It's as if Spotify hasn't included the Note 10 (being brand new) as a compatible host device for the Watch application.

I had this problem and it's now resolved.

I took my phone to best buy and the samsung expert logged me out of spotify.  

Then logged herself in

Then logged out

Then logged me back in

 

That's all it took.

Spotify was available on my watch in the galaxy store after that.

 

My set up is a brand new Note10+ and galaxy watch

YAY!!!!! I found a workaround to get Spotify back on my Samsung Watch 46mm after it was no longer available in the Galaxy Store when I upgraded from the Note 9 to Note 10+. NOTE: I think this only works if you previously had Spotify installed on your Watch when using a different phone.

 

HOW TO GET SPOTIFY BACK:

  1. From your Note 10 or Note 10+ open the "Galaxy Wearable" app
  2. Open "Galaxy Store"
  3. Click on the menu (upper right)
  4. Click on "My Page"
  5. Click on "All" 
  6. Select the "Watch" tab if it's not already selected
  7. There you will see all apps you've ever installed and have the open to reinstall by clicking on the link next to the app.

In Arkansas, USA. I'm having the same exact issue as everyone else. Got a new note 10+ and new galaxy watch 42mm. The spotify app does not exist in the galaxy store.
