Spotify app not loading on Android devices

We're receiving reports from Android users who say that when launched, the app gets stuck on the Spotify logo, refusing to load any further. This is being investigated.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

Hello, it's been 5 days since is there any updates?

Cvsmic

My phone is a samsung note 20 and my spotify app logged me out and now it's stuck at the loading screen. I've reset my phone, installed and uninstalled the phone but it didn't do anything

@Yordan

Again, same issue as previously posted, hoping for updates. Device is Samsung S10+,

One UI version: 4.1

Android Version: 12

Hoping for updates soon, I don't want to cancel my premium account but I can't pay for something I can't use

Running the most recent version of Spotify like everyone else

LexXyr0
  • Samsung S20+
  • Version of Spotify - v8.7.44.968
  • Tried uninstalling the app, clearing the cache and rebooting!

Hope this gets fixed soon! We're paying for this service and it being down for 3 days now... not the greatest of experiences!

TO ALL WHO ARE STILL SUFFERING

I saw in another thread here, that if you have an SD card, you can Dismount it, uninstall Spotify, reinstall Spotify, and start it. It helped me, I can play music again. After it works, you Mount the SD again. It worked for me.

Don't try to transfer any downloaded playlists to the SD card, it will just break the app again.

Hope Spotify fixes this ASAP, because I love downloading playlists to save a lot of data when away from WiFi, especially on roadtrips.

I hope that there is a fix for people like myself who do not have SD cards. It is super unfortunate, I use Spotify constantly...
