Spotify doesnt reconnect after losing internet connection error code 4

"No internet connection detected. Spotify will atuomatically try to reconnect when it detects an internet connection (error code:4)".

Yea, however, it does not.

I went offline for about 30min or so, then got back online after moving from location.

So it either doesn't detect an internet connection or doesn't reconnect after finding one.

In either case, you have to close Spotify and re-open.

OS: Windows 8, version 10.47.13? (it doesn't state if that's the version I'm looking at.)

Hey @Johnwiss, welcome to the Spotify Community! 

Have you tried to reinstall the app and clear all the folders of Spotify? Since you have a Windows PC, follow these steps:

• Log out of Spotify and then close the program
• Uninstall
• Browse to the cache and delete everything inside the folder. The default location should be: C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage
• Delete also the folder: C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Users\<random numbers-user>\

There is a folder for each profile that has been logged into Spotify on that computer account.

• Restart your PC
• Reinstall
