Spotify playing on Galaxy Watch after phone call, unwanted

 

UK Galaxy Watch 

 

I see this has been an ongoing issue with spotify on various phones and previously on the Gear S2 and Gear S3 watches. So was it ever resolved or was the solution just to delete the app off the watch/ phone? Given the option to downlaod playlists to the new Galaxy Watch launched Friday and attach bluetooth earphones it is somewhat detracting from my purchase. Any ideas anyone???

Thanks for all of the new info here. We've let our tech team know, and they're investigating this. We don't have an exact timeline for a fix, but we'd recommend keeping an eye out for updates to the app. If we have anything new to share, we'll check back in here

marcusraptus, it's on the watch itself. Settings/About Watch/Software.

Unfortunately I had to change to TIDAL and I am very happy.
The information of time and distance is spoken together with the music normally.
Actually the structure of TIDAL APP for the cell phone is very confusing at first.
But it's working better than SPOTIFY in Galaxy Watch.

Did the activation of the music after the calls really stop with the new update?

Facing the same problem on the Galaxy Watch. EACH audio events triggers Spotify again. Incredible!!

Has this been fixed? I just got the galaxy watch and the same thing happens. Along with music that I downloaded to the Spotify app on the watch being picky about when it wants to play, which is almost never. Weird considering It’s downloaded.

I don't think it's fixed so I haven't bothered to take the time to try it.
I've spent enough time (many, many hours) trying to figure this out before
I found this forum. Save yourself the frustration and just delete it.

This update did not fix it for me.

 

I have disabled "Phone calls" in the Bluetooth settings on the phone for the watch and it seems to help. but then I can't use my watch for calls.

WOW!!!!

IT IS FIXED.

 

I just got an update on the watch and the Spoitify does not re-start (unwantedly) after a call. 

Software Version: R800XXU1BSA4

 

Not to rain on my own parade but I have heard of a few glitches when playing spotify and the progress updates on a run / activity stop spotify and it does not re-start. I have not tested myself but will feedback when I test.

 

Well done Team Spotify.....only taken 5 months but you got there. Thank you so much.

Are you saying that you got a Tizen update or a Spotify app update?
