Spotify playing on Galaxy Watch after phone call, unwanted

UK Galaxy Watch 

I see this has been an ongoing issue with spotify on various phones and previously on the Gear S2 and Gear S3 watches. So was it ever resolved or was the solution just to delete the app off the watch/ phone? Given the option to downlaod playlists to the new Galaxy Watch launched Friday and attach bluetooth earphones it is somewhat detracting from my purchase. Any ideas anyone???

But Tidal doesn't have standalone playback over Wi-Fi, does it?

Seems strange to be asking about a competitive product but I suppose if Spotify cannot get their act together then we will use their forum for other products 

When using Tidal with S-health workout on the watch do you know how to get it to be the default player and also regarding the widget does anyone know how to make the player stay there -my widget on the watch defaults to the logo

Had my Samsung 4g watch for 24 hours with a s9+

Same here, Galaxy watch 46mm with Note 9. this ia a fundamental bug that needs fixing ASAP or i'll have no choice but to change music providers.

Wow still no fix nor any talk of fixing! 

I pay for the Spotify family plan and cannot use the app on my 300 dollar watch   This is nonsense .

Being aware of the issue and not  being able to fix it for months is concerning around spotify's ability to write software 

So when you say you don't have a timeline - is this measured in years or decades?

Given the last galaxy watch update was nearly a year ago - I assume it would be pointless to expect anything in the short term
