Spotify playlists & folders missing when I expand folders?

so I've only noticed this today, but whenever I expand a folder on the spotify desktop app for mac, the folder expanded and everything below it (be it folders or playlists) disappears and just the black background remains. The playlists and folders above are still there though. Then, if I scroll a little up/down, everything reappears.

 

It's not a massive problem, the playlists are still there. It's just abnormal and a real pain when I'm so used to the way it was. Anyone else had anything similar to this or is it just my desktop app?

We're not able to provide an exact timeline for a fix, but we'd recommend always keeping your Spotify app up to date to ensure you're on the latest version.

It sounds like the recent Desktop improvement did the trick for a lot of you which is great news!

 

This new redesign for the Spotify app on desktop and web is rolling out to all users globally over the coming weeks. So if you haven't yet received it, not to worry. Just make sure to follow the steps in our Status Update to see it as soon as it's available.

 

If you do get the new look but you're still having troubles, let us know here.

Yep, I'm having the same issue. Very frustrating because I have the majority of my artists in individual folders and playlists for each album...

Same here, I also did the reinstall and this problem persists.

Yeah still happening to me as well. It doesn't do it occasionally, it always happens hahaha. I can't seem to figure out any fix

On 6-19-20 there was another update. Version 1.1.35.458.g891674f3

Still no fix on my Win10 PC. This is getting really frustrating. How about on your Macs?

No fix...this majorly irritating folder problem still exists on my Win10 PC.

 

Does Spotify actually look at these conversations...or do they only pay attention to topics that have a high numbers of comments? There doesn't seem to be a direct way to contact them...the online leads I've gotten seem to be dead ends.

Do you know of another way to get their attention other than the Forum, which obviously isn't doing anything.

 

Can you possibly assist us in this regard?

 I am under the impression that Spotify got rid of direct tech support years ago in favor of directing us to the Forum. Posting in the Forum obviously isn't helping our cause....

 

Considering that this bug has persisted through the last 3 or 4 updates makes me wonder if this is the new Spotify.

 

Does anyone know of another way to contact Spotify directly? The links I have found online have been dead ends.

So. I read the whole topic here and took me a long time to find it, cause I had no idea how to type my problem in english... But yep, it is exactly what you guys described in this topic.

 

Me and my colleague are experiencing the same issue. I'm on a PC and he is on a Mac. We WORK making playlists for Spotify brands and our database is huge. This bug is making our work almost impossible.

 

I think this is going on around a month for me. I didn't only reinstall but I formatted my PC. No solve.

 

Sighs... I don't know what to do anymore besides being angry with the screen.
