Spotify premium family account: unable to send invite to my wifes email account

Hi there!

 

I am trying to send an invite to my wife for my recently acquired premium for family account. However it does not reach her email account even if the settings page says that it has been sent. Have checked junk folder on my wifes email account and she is already registered for a free account. What is wrong??
