Spotify stuck on logo screen on iOS

We've received reports from iPhone users running iOS 16.3 and 16.3.1 that the Spotify app won't load past the logo screen. This is being investigated.

There is still an issue.... 

I can't open app on my phone,
I’ve uninstalled the app, cleared cache and downloaded it again multiple times, and nothing changed. It only shows the logo while it’s loading to open. My account works on android version and on the web browser.
When I click on the app I am just getting black screen with Spotify logo in the centre. Been happening since this morning. Premium subscription for the last 5+ years

Same thing here, after I updated the iOS it is no longer opening, only the logo shows, no matter what network I’m connected to. In have an iPhone 14 v16.3

We're currently looking into this issue and it would be great if you can provide us with the following info:

  • Device model + exact OS version
  • Spotify app version. You can check that from your phone's Settings.
  • What troubleshooting you've tried so far?
  • It would also be helpful if you can attach a video recording of the issue, when you launch the app. You can attach it to your reply, or send us a link to another website, like YouTube.

Just started getting this right after updating to ios 16.3.1.  My spotify version is 8.8.8.  I've tried the usual stuff like rebooting phone, restarting app, wifi on and off.


I am having exact same issue since updating to the latest iOS version.

 - Spotify 8.8.8

App crashes/freezes when opening. Reinstall does not work.
