Spotify unable to transfer playlists from Itunes AND unable to properly transfer songs from Itunes

Hello!

I am unable to transfer my music and playlists from itunes to spotify. I've done the  File>Import Playlists>Itunes and it does absolutely nothing. My music in the "Local Files" also looks completely different as it does for me on itunes. I've been looking online for over an hour and was unable to find anything helpful. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
