Spotify won't play any of my music

Status: Closed

So I didn't change anything about my account from yesterday when it was working, but Spotify won't play any music. I have this problem on my mac and pc. It just gives me an error message saying it can't play the current song, no matter if I'm offline using music I've downloaded or online streaming. Usually restarting the app fixes this, but today I've done that multiple times, tried uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify, and restarting my computer numerous times. I have no internet connectivity issues and this happens on almost a weekly basis (albeit usually not as severe). I pay for premium, and use spotify for work where I test audio equipment by running songs through each piece of gear. If this doesn't get resolved very soon I'm canecelling my subscription, I've just about had it with this company and its lack of customer support.

Hey @aanzaldua0812,

Welcome to the Community.

First of all, let's try a clean reinsta: Log out of Spotify and then close the program > uninstall.

Browse to the cache. The default location should be C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage and delete everything inside the folder.

Delete the folder C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Users\<random numbers-user>\ There is a folder for each profile that has been logged into Spotify on that computer account.

Reinstall.

Also, the issue might appear while using headphones, usb or bluetooth speakers. Try plugging them out and back in. Hopefully that'll fix it.

If not, this issue is being looked into in this thread. You should post there if you want to be in the loop of further developments.
