Hey, welcome to the Community!

Just to confirm, does your Starred tracks playlist work on a different device?

Keep us posted.

My starred playlist is broken in the webplayer. just posted about it here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Linux-Windows-Web-Player/Cannot-add-to-starred-playlist-any...

i tested this in several browsers without luck. adding to other playlists works just fine.

gvdenbro

i've tried adding to the starred playlist on the android app and there it works fine. trying again in the webplayer fails. for me it's related to the webplayer.

cheers, and thanks for this great app!

Thanks for the info @ash79!

Can you let us know when was the last time you were able to update your "Starred" playlist? Try adding songs to your playlist through the web player here and let us know how it goes.

@gvdenbro, can you try opening the web player with an incognito window to see if this helps?

gvdenbro

@JuanSebastian, hey thanks for your help. I've tested the following scenario's and they all fail:

1. incognito window in chrome browser on windows 7 machine on my job's network

2. incognito window in chromium browser on windows 7 machine on my job's network

3. incognito window in firefox browser on windows 7 machine on my job's network

4. incognito window in chromium browser on ubuntu 16.10 machine on my home network

5. incognito window in firefox browser on ubuntu 16.10 machine on my home network

I fail to add any song to my 'starred' list in all those scenario's. Based on my last.fm activity, I can tell I started noticing this behaviour on the 6th of december.

And finally, I'd like to reiterate that I can add songs in other playlists from the webplayer without any problem. Also I am able to add to the starred playlist from an android device.

Thanks for the help!

ps: if there's anything I can do to help (e.g. enabling some logging somehow, flash player? etc.) I'm ready to help.

Thanks for getting back to us @ash79!

In this case, try these steps:

  1. Head to play.spotify.com in Google Chrome.
  2. Click the plugin icon in the top-right hand side.
  3. Select "Always allow plugins on https://play.spotify.com".

Once you've done this, please try again to add songs to your starred playlist.

Let us know how it goes or, if you have any questions. We'll be here for you 🙂

Sophia,
