Student Discount Issues - ''Phone number's country code is not supported''

My Question or Issue

Hi, I am facing trouble while signing up for to Premium for Students plan. It says "Phone number's country code is not supported" on SheerID verification page. What is the solution?

Hi,

 

I'm trying to get the Student Premium Subscription. While on Sheer ID Student Verification Screen, I get the following Error:

 

Phone number's country code is not supported.

 

I have tried on My Laptop and Phone. Same Issue. Kindly guide/help to solve the above mentioned issue.

Please note that we partner with SheerID to verify your student status. This means that If you have any issues with the verification process itself you can reach out to the folks at SheerID here.

 

You can apply for the discount and get verified by heading here. Once verified you will receive a confirmation email with an activation link for the discount. This Spotify Answer has some more useful info on the discount.

I've found a workaround! You can leave the phone number column blank. This way they'll only contact you through email. That will work. Hope this helps!

There's another person who had similar issues, and I thought since the other post got a comment from a Moderator + What seems to me like a solution, I wanted to share it with you.

My Question or Issue

Spotify just got launched in Pakistan and I want to buy the student plan but I am unable to do so. The problem I am facing is that SheerID states that the "Phone number's country code is not supported", therefore I cannot proceed. I have tried different browsers and incognito mode but nothing is helping. Kindly let me know if there is any solution.

Therefore, I think the solution is to leave the phone number column blank.
