Top artists are inaccurate

As a premium member for the past three years I would like to say that I am completely satisfied with the service and spend much of my time using the app, 82,000 minutes last year according to my year in review (See attachment). 

The only area that I have noticed that seems to never be accurate is my top played artists, although my yearly and monthly reviews seems to be entirely accurate. With the new Tinder collaboration I was disappointed that my true "top played artists" were not available to choose from. Maybe it is just an issue with my account; regardless I wanted to see if anyone else noticed this and if i could get any help with the issue.

My list is incredibly inaccurate as well. I'm starting to suspect that some artists are actively blocked from being displayed as top artists. All of the displayed "top" artists are from major record labels and have only gotten 10 minutes of play time. 

I have always loved your service, but i don't know how i should proceed if your company won't display my true top artists such as Hail of Bullets, Bolt Thrower, Marduk, Immortal, etc. I feel cheated not being able to display an accurate list on dating sites

Ok so I have had the same issues as everyone else in this thread. The difference is I recently made a totally new tinder and Spotify account because I deleted my Facebook. I just made a new dummy fb profile with only photos on it to connect to my new tinder/Spotify accounts. So I thought "sweet! I'll basically get to pic and choose what shows up as my top Spotify artists!" Because I was literally starting from scratch. But man... Somehow H.P. Lovecraft made it into my top artists and I literally listened to about 1 minute of like 2 songs. The rest are ok with me (Mayhem, MF DOOM, and Sa-Roc) but that's all that shows up from now on. I've tried purposefully only listening to one artist for the past few days to try and see just what in the **bleep** it takes to crack this backwards algorithm, nothing... So yes it is in fact Tinder/Spotify's fault. The anthem thing works great and I suggest getting to pic top artists from your Spotify library.

Same here, for me it only shows 1 artist that I have never even heard of, so it sucks...

Thank you for noticing and replying so soon. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S7
edge and am up to date with each software, spotify's 6.2.0.1028 armV7 and
android marshmallow 6.01. If there is any ideas on why this issue is
occurring, I would be interested to know the reason.

Im on a nexus 5 running android 6.0.1. Spotify 6.2.0.1028 and Tinder 6.0.1. My friends that are running IOS are experiencing the same problem though.

I'm having the same issue and I'm using the latest iOS update as of October 4, 2016 on my iPhone. I thought your recent platform update would be able to solve this issue but if looks like this isn't the case.

Mine is the same way. Some of the artists I haven't listened to in months. One of the artists/songs that is on there I have never listened to. I noticed this is a common problem and in one thread a Spotify emplyee said that this isn't a common issue. BS...
