USB Steering Controls

I drive a 2012 Dodge Journey SXT and when I'm listening to Spotify (iOS) with the USB and I try to go back a song it skips forward. I've tried reinstalling the app and rebooting my phone. It's not a reversal issue since the forward button works as it's supposed to and the back button works fine in the stock music app. When I press the back button midway through a song it restarts the song but for some reason I can't skip backward. I don't have Bluetooth in my car and with the Aux function the skip controls are disabled altogether. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to confirm, you're connected through USB to your car but when you want to skip a song backwards it goes to the next song instead or when the song is mid-way it'll start the song from the beginning? If that's the case, could you make sure you're not playing Radio or Daily Mix? Let me know how it goes! 🙂
