Unable to find chromecast devices

Spotify on Android doesn't always find the chromecast device. It usually helps killing the application (force stop) and restarting, but not always. Sometimes restarting the phone is the only way to go. Google home app always finds the chromecast device.

Using Android 7.1.1 on Oneplus 3 and Spotify 8.4.11.1283. This has been around for quite some time during several versions and is quite annoying.

No, it is not rooted.

And yes, I've tried rebooting everything in the connection chain. There is nothing wrong with my router, I have internet connection.

I tried changing my access point as well.

In this case, if you have a Premium subscription, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account page on our website and click Offline devices in the menu on the left.
2. Click REMOVE ALL DEVICES.
3. Reinstall the app with the steps here.
4. Save your offline tracks again.

If that doesn't work, please remove the SD card, if there's one, reinstall the app, then reinsert the SD card again to see if it makes any difference.
