Unable to share to other users

I've been dealing with this issue for several months now where one of two things happen depending on if I am on my laptop or on my desktop:

1) On my desktop (Windows 10), certain friends who I am following can share music to me. However, when I bring up the "share to" box, their name does not come up when I type it in.

2) On my laptop (Windows 8.1), the account will autocomplete when i type it into the "share to" box. However, when I click share, the box/dialogue spins as if it is loading. However, it never finishes and the intended recipient never receives my share.

 

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling spotify on both machines. I believe I have teh latest version installed: 1.0.36.124.g1cba1920, and this issue still persists.

Can you try sharing music through our web player?

No, it seems like I have the same issue where the username autocompletes, but the share never goes through. I'd really like to see some resolution here.


I'd prefer to use the dedicated player over the web player as then I can still utilize the media controlls on my keyboard.

We'd like to try some further troubleshooting steps. Can you try logging in and sharing from a different account? I can confirm that my friends and I are mutually following, however. Please advise.
