My Question or Issue

Hi,

My radio stations will not start on my account and I don't know what to do. Here's the list of troubleshooting tips I've followed from similar posts and none of them have worked. This applies to right clicking and trying to start a radio that way and also the curated radio stations on the radio

  • Tried starting on a different device
  • Tried the web player
  • Tried on a different device on mobile data
  • Tried doing a clean install of Spotify (deleting files in app data)

The ONLY thing that worked was simply switching to another account for testing which I'd rather not go through the hassle of doing for real.

This gives me the impression that this is an account issue on Spotify's end. Can you guys please look into this?

I'm happy to send any info I need. Thanks!

Best,

Tristen Rouse

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

My Question or Issue

Radio is not working. If I search for an artist, and click play on the radio that shows up, nothing plays. If I click "Go To Artist Radio" on their profile page, I am taken to a page with a loading icon that spins indefinitely, as shown below. I have similar issues on my Galaxy S20 Plus, and am taken to a page that says "Missing Playlist This playlist is no longer valid. Please try another one." The fact that I am paying for this service and an integral part of it is not functioning is highly disappointing. Please advise me on how to fix this error.

Hi @apeandessence,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

Can you try restarting your devices? If that doesn't help, then I would recommend trying a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your devices by following these steps to see if that makes a difference; as well as making sure that your devices’ operating systems are up to date.

Let me know how it goes, as well as if you have any other questions.

Have a good day!

I have the same kind of problems since some days and I doubt that reinstalling spotify from scratch on 4 different devices; smartphone, tablet and 2 computers; will help solving the issue.
Even through the web version, when I try to launch a radio, nothing happens.

I am having the same issue in my Android and Linux PC. Some days ago it stopped working. Have updated the apps and no solution there.
apeandessence

Hey. I did those.

I cleared cache & data, uninstalled and then reinstalled. I also tried turning off my adblocker and connecting using a different network. Nothing worked.

I've actually been talking with @SpotifyCares Twitter account for two days and they couldn't figure it out yet either. They gave their test account for me to login on my device. Even though the initial connection was slow, it worked like it should after that.

Weird thing is artist radios, album radios and song radios are OK. Playlist radios are the problem.

@SpotifyCares team also suggested that I'd create a new account and they would carry all my playlists and followers over to new account. I told them no of course, since that'll mean I would lose all my listening history, therefore good recommendations.

Hi  @apeandessence@vvaquero, and @oleastre,

Thank you for your replies!

Spotify is currently aware of an Ongoing Issue causing the behavior that you describe; and while there isn’t an exact timeline for a fix, the right Spotify teams are looking into this issue. I recommend adding your +VOTE to this Ongoing Issue, as well as keeping your Spotify apps on the latest version.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!

Hi @apeandessence, @vvaquero, and @oleastre,

Can you try going to Radio from a playlist using a different device, to see if that works?

As an alternative, you should be able to Start Radio from a playlist using the Web Player; though rather than creating a Radio Playlist, this will instead add similar songs to your queue.

Let me know how it goes, as well as if you have any other questions.

Have a good day!

I also have this problem. I tried opening the radio from multiple playlists, nothing happens. Tried with individual songs, also nothing. Tried from the web browser, windows application, and android app. All failed and couldn't play anything. What's up with this?

My Question or Issue

Playlist radio stations seem to no longer be working on my account at least. Have confirmed on both the web-client and standalone client with each of my playlists.
