Volvo Sensus Connect problem with player

Hi,

 

I drive a Volvo V60 from 2015 with Sensus Connect. Playing spotify in the car from my iPhone has worked really good since the 7.8.0 update.

 

Normally when I listen to musik I can see what's played on my screen in the car.

My issue is that if I am listening to music, doesn't matter if it's from an playlist or from "radio", after some songs played I can only read Spotify on the screen.

I have attached one image of the issue in IMG_3901.JPG.

 

Is there anyone out there that have the same issue that I have? There have been no updates to my volovs software...

Hi all,

 

After speaking with the product teams and developers in depth about this, we've concluded that this is something that we'll stop supporting. This is because we don't directly own these kinds of integrations.

 

In the meantime, we’d recommend checking for updates to the app and to the car’s system.

Hey @Ti4s, welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

Could you try to use Spotify Connect with another device and let us know if you get the same issue? Also, can you let us know what version of Spotify you're using? 

 

We'd recommend restarting your device by holding Home + Lock for 10 seconds. Does that help?

Hello

I've tried with another device and it is the same issue.
I have the latest version 8.0.0 and the problem have been since the 7.8.0
update.

Also tried to restart my device and with no sucess...

Just to check, does this also happen if you try to play the songs on any album in order?

 

Also, we'd like you to try reinstalling Spotify on your device with these steps.

Same problem here! After the latest Update i can not see what songs is playing AND the Cover Art don´t work 😞

 

PLS fix that - beside that Problem the Update was good - skipping songs works much better/faster than before (sometimes it took seconds, until the next track started after skipping with the button on the steering wheel).

 

 

Specs:

Volvo XC 60 Middle 2016, Sensus Connect High Performance, iPhone SE iOS 10.2.1. with Spotify 8.1.0.623

Just to confirm, is this happening when streaming or with downloaded songs? If possible, try using a different device or Internet connection. Let us know if the same happens, we'll see what to suggest.

Hi Fabian,

Today I was able to test it.  There was no difference between downloaded or online songs. Even with the iPad it was the same problem.

 

 I also tested the device in the Bluetooth mode or  with cable connection.  Same problem here

If possible, have you tried using a different account? Also, is there any way to restart your radio's settings? 

 

@Ti4s, can you try updating the Spotify version to 8.1.0? Let us know if that helps.

I have the latest Spotify version, and still missing what is playing and the cover art and it is not helping switching accounts. The only thing that helps is to unplug the device and then connect it again then I got everything working for some tracks.

 

So, something was changed in 7.8.0 is it possible for you to track logs for bugfixes or new functions?

Hmm, that's strange @Ti4s

 

There's a new version of Spotify, can you try updating it to 8.2.0? It was just released to all users.

Hi Mara,

 

today I was able to check it after the update. Unfortunately the problem has not been solved.

after the first track the Volvo display shows no song information's. the cover art is also missing.
