Thanks! We’ll keep you posted and let you know as soon as we have any updates on this.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for all your reports and patience so far!
This should be now fixed in the latest version of the Android app.
If that doesn't do the trick for you, please make sure that Navigation is toggled off from the app's settings.
If you're still having troubles, don't hesitate to let us know in the Help Boards. We'll be happy to lend a hand.
Have a lovely day 🙂
I followed the instructions and I'm still getting the notification. After reinstalling, I double checked that waze was disabled (the app isn't installed) and even turned off the waze reminder.
Pixel 3, Android 9.0
Spotify Version 18.104.22.1683
Waze is not installed and not connected in the settings.
Persistent notification always seems to stay, "Spotify connections", "Waze is connected."
I also have this issue.
Samsung Android with the latest app as of 25th june. Waze is not installed on my phone. My app banner disappeared off my home page too shortly after the update. I thought nothing of it at the time but thought it might have some relivance now?
If you are experiencing this issue, could you please send over the exact Spotify version you are on? Not all users are on the same version. We'd also like the following:
Looking forward to your reply!
Your device + OS version: Xperia 1, Android 9
Your exact Spotify version: 22.214.171.1248
Do you have Waze installed on your device?: no
Is Waze navigation activated in Spotify?: no
Pixel 2, Android 9
Spotify version 126.96.36.1998
No Waze installed
The setting is technically switched off, but when I click "Navigation: connect with navigation apps" I see it slide from on to off... Like it's on when I'm not looking, but turns off when I open it.
@Guido It's kinda like how a kid will jump in bed when the parent comes in and pretend they are asleep. But as soon as the parent leaves, they get back out of bed. Kinda like Spotify wants to pretend like it's not annoying you to get the Waze app, but when your not looking they'll annoy you till you do... It's probably not a mistake. Spotify wants it to be broken because money and corporate politics.
LG Fortune 2
Waze is not installed
Thanks for sending us over a few examples so far. It looks like for a small group of people the issue didn't get solved so we will continue investigating.
