Waze popup keeps showing when connected

From some users we've been receiving a message that the pop-up is still showing, even after a full reinstall using these instructions.

Hi, this is a relatively new issue for me -- maybe the last couple of weeks?

Please sort this out asap. There is no reason for Spotify to be connected to anything when I'm in the car. It tries to connect to Waze even though I have both carview functions switched off.

PS I still think latest update is a piece of sh!+.

I have a Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0.0 and the Spotify app is considered a system app so I can't fully uninstall it, I can only disable it (which uninstalls all updates), I've tried that with clearing the cache and data and restarting my device but no luck. Version of Spotify is 8.5.13.637. I do not have Waze installed on my device and it's not activated in Spotify.

I switched from a Galaxy S8+ to a Galaxy S10+ last week. In both devices the notification (and a lot of battery consumption +20% on average when using the app just 1 to 2 hours a day) is still present even if I do a full app reinstall... I don't have Waze installed and I have disabled permissions to access Waze from my Spotify account too. The Spotify Connections popup only appears if I connect my phone to my car's stereo (and it only dissappear if I close Spotify manually).

I keep all my apps and phones up to date, I'm always on the last Spotify version (8.5.14.752 at the moment of this post)

Additional Information:

I once had Waze installed on this device, I think.

I also use "TomTom Go" Navigation on this device.
