My Question or Issue

In the actual player where the "heart" is(that shows if the song has been liked) it's always showing like it's not, and that's a bit confusing because most of the times it is. Can you help me?
Thanks in advance

When using Spotify web player, liked songs are not showing as liked when played. Songs are still in my Liked Songs playlist but the like icon is not filled.

When liking a song that should be already be liked, it's moved to the top of my Liked Songs playlist but not duplicated (not an issue, just interesting).

On Android and Windows 10 desktop players, songs show as liked normally.

Multiple browsers on macOS and Windows 10 reproduced the issue (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).

My Question or Issue

I have added several songs to favourites (with a "heart" button) and to a new playlist at the same time. When I start playing a song from my new playlist, the "Add to favourites"/"heart" button on the bottom player panel in the browser (Chrome, Opera) is shown as inactive. If I right-click on the song in the playlist, then the "add to favourites" button will update its own state.

Hey there @user-removed,

Help’s here!

Make sure you try running the web player in a private/incognito window to check if this might be cache-related.

If you have this possibility, test if you observe the same under a different network. If the heart icon works with another connection, it's best to contact the service provider of the original network for more information.

Keep us posted! We'll be here if you have any questions.

My Question or Issue

Recently, when playing a favorite song, the 'heart' icon in the player is not changed to green. When I click on the 3 dots next to the song that activate the context menu, it does change to green however.

Hey @PH4NTOMiki

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Yes, I have had the same problem but to ensure that your liked heart stays liked. Try closing the app and reopen it. If that doesn't work try a clean reinstall of the App. And if it continues to persist, try restarting your device.

Meanwhile, I have found some similar topics in the Community that might help you. To see them please click here and here.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Thank you for answering (and very quickly may I add) but the issue is more frequent (much more) on Spotify program on Windows and even more on Spotify Web App (open.spotify.com)

So, what about that

Thank you once again

zeryen

Hello!

I've got the same problem about 2 weeks. No problem on mobile and desktop apps. Only on Web

PLEASE FIX IT GOD DAMN!

zeryen
Hello!

I've got the same problem on WEB. Spotify are your going to fix it or not? It's already 2 week when it started

Hello.

I have tried different PC. I have tried 3 different browsers (Chrome, Opera, Edge). I have tried running WebPlayer in the Chrome with all browser extensions turned off. I have tried running WebPlayer under VPN. I have tried different service (internet) provider.  I have tried running WebPlayer in the browser "Incognito mode" under two different service (internet) providers. Nothing from this list helped me.

The only place where I don't have the described problem is the Android app on my mobile phone.

From my perspective it is a bug in the WebPlayer app code.
