Web Player Not Working

Status: Case Closed

Using the Spotify Web Player online on Windows, and for some reason it won't play any of my songs, albums or playlists. My internet is functioning fine, my sound works, I attempting logging in and out, restarting my laptop, closing Spotify and absolutely nothing is working. Please help.

Hi guys!

All the best.

Same, everything else on my laptop is working fine but this won't play songs and it jumps back and forth constantly. It's said "oops, something went wrong" like once or twice before, but it would just fix itself within a minute.

Hey folks! Thanks for letting me know about this.

That sounds odd. Could you make sure you're not using any plug-ins that could interfere with Spotify (e.g. ad-blockers)? Also, are you using a restricted network connection (e.g. work/school or VPNs) to use the Spotify Web Player? Lastly, could you try to clear your browser cache and cookies? Let me know! 🙂

Thanks again and have a great day!

Oberyn

Turned off my ad-blocker, using my home internet and already attempted clearing my internets cache and cookies. I'm honestly clueless as to why nothing will play.

Hey @Oberyn!

Alright, thanks for trying that! Could you send over a screenshot of what you're seeing? I'd love to take a closer look.

Thanks, take care! 🙂

Hey @Oberyn!

Thanks for sending that over. Could you try to log in on another device and see if it works there? Also, could you try to use a different account (e.g. from a friend or family member)? Let me know how you get on! 🙂

Have an awesome day!

@Hubo Seems to work fine on other accounts and my mobile device. Only my account on my laptop won't play.

Hey @Oberyn! Thanks for trying!

Let's get to the bottom of this. Could you try to use the web player over a different network connection? That might help. Also, could you let me know your browser and OS versions?

Thanks, have a great day!
