Web app can't connect to Spotify

On chromebook, spotify web app (chromebook name for the web player) gets stuck at "connecting to Spotify"

I've tried deleting all Spotify related cookies, uninstalling the web app and reinstalling, restarting the computer, changing the wireless network, and nothing works. 

My husband's computer is identical, and Spotify web app is working on his.

Same issue, it will connect on WIFI but not cellular data!

I have an Acer Chromebook. I'm been using spotify on it for months, but all of a sudden it doesn't want to connect. I've gone through a ton of forums, cleared my cookie stuff, changed my country (well, kept it the same), and a ton of other things. I don't know what else to do.

Are you guys using a mobile device? If so, you'll have to download the Spotify app.

If you're using a computer, please try the following:

• Using a different browser
• Logging in and out of Spotify
• Clearing the cache and cookies of the browser you're using
• Restarting your computer

(You don't have to do these in any specific order!)

I've done all four steps (multiple times) but the web player still shows as "connecting to Spotify" with the loading wheel of death.

Having the same problem - it just started today and I've done all the usual stuff, tried another PC, clearing cache/cookies, using a different IP address etc. so this suggests to me that it's a problem on Spotify's side.
