My Question or Issue

The Web Player won't load the song list beyond the ~200 mark.

Expected behavior(What should happen):

Scrolling through the playlist would gradually load all songs, leading to the end of the list.

Actual behavior(The issue):

Scrolling through the playlist is not possible after a certain point, as the loading of the list gets stuck after the 1st or 2nd batch of songs(the playlist effectively never loads past the 2nd loading chunk).

Browsing through the entire playlist or reaching the end of the list is not possible. The three-dot loading indicator at the bottom of the list keeps blinking infinitely.

Tested on different computers, different operating systems and different browsers with the same result.

Hey all,

My Question or Issue

This just started happening a few minutes ago. I can no longer scroll down to see all the songs/episodes in a playlist or podcasting group on the Spotify Web Player. Scroll down will stop after reaching around 50 songs/episodes, it will not load any more after reaching the 'bottom' despite myself knowing there is more content below that.

I have refreshed the page, logged in and out of Spotify, nothing will change the fact I can no longer see everything a playlist or show offers.

My playlist of 609 songs stops loading at about the 200th song.  It can play songs past that point, but they cannot be manually selected.

I have the exact same problem... I'm building a playlist and can't scroll down to see the most recent entries. This is a problem because I can't tell whether a song has been added or not ... Since Spotify has no method to prevent you from accidentally adding the same song multiple times to a playlist, if you can't scroll down then you can't see what's there. I can't even search it with Ctrl+F, because it won't search any portion of the page that isn't visible. How do I correct this glitch and unhide the rest of the playlist?

when ever I update a list it works, but then I can't just scroll down my playlist, it takes forever for it to let me do it.  I just see the three dots flashing at bottom, my list is fairly long, 150 songs, but I used to move songs all the time and it didn't do this.  it took hours last time to let me go to the bottom of the list.  my internet is working fine, my iPad works, its just online for spotify.  it doesn't it in mac and on my microsoft based laptop.  so its a spotify thing.  is there anything I can do.  again it used to work fine, it worked very fast, its only today that this happens

Hi there @Leorlev & @maveric28,

thanks for reaching out to the community !

Can you please let me know if you're able to scroll all the way down when using an incognito window or a different browser?

Note: make sure that your browser is updated to the latest version

You can also check if the issue persists while scrolling through the playlist without being logged in at all.

Furthermore, please let me know if this issue happens on your app so i'd be sure that this is a Web player issue only.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Waiting on your update 🙂

Hello and thank you for your reply.

I tried your suggestions. Using an incognito and regular window, different browser (Firefox instead of Chrome), and checking to see if my browsers were up to date. Each time I could not scroll down all the way.

I did download the Spotify platform to my PC and I can scroll on there with no issues. I prefer the Web Player, but if I can't get it fixed I will use the downloaded version. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Hey there @eg19!

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

Can you try logging out > restating your device > logging back in to see if that makes a difference?

If your issue persists, could you let us know on what platform you experience this and if it only happens with one of your lists or with other long ones as well?

It would also be good to know if you have trouble loading the playlist on a different network.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply. Let us know if you have any other questions in the meantime.

did all you suggested numerous times, only happens online, in the app it works fine, does is all the time.  its really frustrating.  it does it in apple and microsoft op systems so its specifically a spotify issue.  my internet is really fast so its hard to figure out, and again the same internet works fine on my app.  so its an online issue.  just always get that its waiting to update my list as I scroll down.  It would be great if spotify had phone number to call to talk to someone. It worked fine a bit ago. it just started doing this.  any thoughts

This is happening to me too. I logged out and logged back in and still doesn't work. I then downloaded the Spotify app on my Mac, and it has the same problem. My Mac and Chrome are up to date, so it's a definite problem with Spotify. Since this isn't a problem on their mobile app, I go onto my phone and connect to my Mac. Then I scroll down to choose the song that won't appear. This is extremely annoying, especially if you don't even have your phone with you, Spotify please fix this ASAP

I am having the same problem on the free plan on Chromebook. It stops loading at 100 songs (yes I took the time to count). It happens every time I open the web player, and apparently people have had this same exact problem in the past. Please fix this.
