'What's new' icon is missing on mobile

We're receiving reports from users in some markets that the bell icon (What's New feed) is gone from their homepage.

hi, the "what's new" tab is probably one of the best features yet. it was working fine untill 3 days ago when it just disappeared on the app, the problem is its still working for all of my freinds and also on my phone if i use someone else's account. does anyone have the same problem and if so, is there any solution?

My Question or Issue

The „What‘s New“ tab (bell icon on home screen) has been available for a few months now, right?

However, I still don‘t have this feature. I should be running the latest version of the app (8.6.62.1035).

I'm also having an issue with the What's New tab in that it is 99% full of classical music and ASMR music when I never listen to that music and have't subscribed/followed to any of that kind of music. How do I get it to stop showing me genres I don't listen to as it is a redundant feature for me at the moment.

@Orlando146 Could you give these steps a go and log out from everywhere? Then you can restart your device and log back in again to see if that makes a difference. 

 

@amiiiiiiiiiiine In case you still can't see the feature, let us know. We'll look into this further.

Thanks for reporting this to us.

 

First, we'd recommend trying a clean reinstall of the app on your device by following the steps here.

If after that you’re still having trouble with this, could you provide us with the following info:

  • device + OS version
  • exact Spotify version
  • Country
  • screenshot of the home tab

Once we have that, we will pass it on to the relevant team, who will look further into it.

Re installed the app following the exact steps. Also logged in from different device. I’ve never seen the bell icon . I’m running the latest version 8.6.68. Device iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 15.0.1. Country Greece
