Window size/position not remembered (Desktop Windows 10)

Usually, I have Spotify running on the right side of the monitor, using approx. thirty percent of the available screen space. Currently, it opens right in the middle of the screen, forcing me to manually drag it to the border. It seems that Windows OS is not to blame for the issue, since other apps do remember their previous position. Does anybody have a solution? Thank you, dear community!

Hi there!

You can always try to reinstall Spotify and try again.

Your suggestion does not work. What does work, is enabling the "Close button should minimize the Spotify window to the tray" check under Advanced settings. This does not minimize the window, but saves its position. Guys, test your stuff... this is so crappy. Could you guys please fix this?

As of June 7th 2017 I still have this persistent issue... So yes, I will necro this post.
Reinstalling the program did nothing for me.

Windows 10 Build 15063, dual-monitor setup.
Spotify version: 1.0.56.451.gb2f539fc

Hey all!

Thanks for your report! Could you let me know the following:

  • Spotify version
  • OS version
  • Device version
  • # of monitors connected to your device

Also, as @Astame mentioned, a reinstall might help here. Let me know how you get on! 🙂

Have an awesome day!

P.S.: Thanks @Astame for your awesome help here! 🤘
