{Windows 8] Video ad playing, whilst music is playing as well.

Status: Not An Issue

Currently, I've been listening to a heap load of songs for what seems to be 3 hours. The problem is now there a video ad that'll play repeatedly while the song is playing as well. The ad will usually play as fragmented sound and a video on the bottom banner. What do I do?

Hey all!

Thanks for all you recent reports here. As we haven't heard any recent reports of this, we're going to be marking this thread as Not an Issue for now.

In this case, we'd suggest performing a clean reinstallation. This has helped many users already.

If you're still having trouble after doing this, can you let us know the following in a new thread;

- Device

- Operating System

- Version of Spotify

- Specific Ad

- Internet connection (WiFi or 3G/4G)

Thanks.

This has been  happening to me, as well. It's really annoying, so I have just started turning Spotify off when it happens and play my music from another source. I hope Spotify will be fixing this soon.

I just had this happen recently on my Windows 10 machine.  I'm not even going to consider continuing to use Spotify, let alone getting Spotify premimum, if this isn't fixed very quickly.

Same problem here. On Windows 10

Same problem here. On Windows 10. The ad is playing quite often - if its not fixed it might be the end of Spotify for me. Going to premium is not the solution I need, in case that comes up.
