The issue is not resolved. If you start playing music again, you are again in the endless loop. If you want to pause Spotify, you have to either log out or uninstall the app.
But it's not Spotify's fault. The problem comes with any other app that supports play/pause via Bluetooth. Ford Mondeo constantly sends play button presses to your phone, so whatever audio app you have previously used, it won't shut up.
