crossfade not working

I have enabled crossfade, set to 12 sec. Restarted etc., still not working.

This is criticl for continued membership...PAID.

You've not done an update have you as this resets your settings, I would just check them again for me before that issue

Thanks for the follow up and your concern.
I am using a Lenovo laptop WIN 10, A Dell PC Win 10, a Galaxy Note 4
(marshmallow 6.0) and an IPAD 2nd gen, latest IOS.
I cast from each to chromecast, via wifi.to a YAMAHA AVR 2050.
I have a very strong wifi signal throughout my house.
I have checked and rechecked all advanced settings, ALL are set to 12 sec
crossfade and no gap(IF AVAIL)...it doesn't show on all.

As I have quite a few devices, I was checking all of them carefully before continuing the thread.

Here's what I see: Crossfade works IF YOU are listening on the device you are using. (ie: my Desktop IF I am listening thru my desktop speakers, my IPAD IF my headphones are hooked up to it.),

BUT it does NOT work if I am CASTING to another device. ie: it seems to consider my AV reciever and CHROMECAST audio dongles "another" device. In fact, on my IPAD casting to another device(the chromecasts), the quality and crossfade options are light grey(meaning they are NOT available.)

I'm going to continue to experiment for a while, but do NOT intend to continue as a premium member IF I cant's p[lay my music WITH crossfade thru my AVR and home speakers.
