[iOS] App crashes when I try to turn off car view in the settings

I am unable to turn off the option to "allow Car view to automatically turn on when Spotify connects to your car's Bluetooth" in the settings. My app crashes every time I attempt to turn off the default "Car view" in the settings of Spotify on my iPhone. I have an iPhone 6s. (iOS 13.4.1 and Spotify Version 8.5.55) I have tried clearing catch, offloading the app, deleting the app, and reinstalling to no avail.

Every time I try to turn off car view permanently the app just crashes and car view is way too annoying to leave on

Me as well. on iPhone 11 pro latest spotify version.

This happens on the new iPhone SE 2020 and the iPhone XR. Uninstalling and reinstalling on both phones did nothing.

My Question or Issue

Was on a bike ride and the app crashed, tried to reopen it but no luck. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, still no luck. I then restated the devices and it still would not open. So I deleted the app, cleared the cache, and restarted the phone. This seems to have fixed the problem! However, I had to reset all the setting how I like them, and I cannot disable “Car Mode” (which I despise 🙂 ) When I flip the switch to turn it off, it just immediately crashes 😞 Any help? Thanks.

I can confirm it. Yes, the Spotify app latest version 8.5.56.1214 crashes every time turning Car View off. Not sure how to help here. We just need to report a bug.

I have the same issue, latest IOS on my Iphone X. Worked for me 3 days ago though..

This has been happening to me today as well, I’m on my iPhone 11. I tried deleting and reinstalling, and rebooting my phone but it continues to do it.

It’s happening to me, too! It really sucks because I didn’t want to update my Spotify but it would crash if I didn’t update it. Can Spotify please fix this bug?
