[iOS] Devices Crashing upon startup

apps for both crash at launch

I can’t get in to see the Spotify versions but they are the latest versions for each

both devices have ample storage space

iPhone X, iOS 13.4.1  , 170gb Free

older iPad, iOS 12.4.6  , 35gb Free

Both started crashing at same time. They were fine all day. That they are both crashing indicates it’s not the device or software

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

Starting at 2PM PST the iOS app kept crashing during first second of opening. App opens normally now but crashes when changing Car settings.

Just a heads up, I did the turn on airplane mode, opened spotify, it didn’t crash. I then turned airplane off and logged in via facebook with no issues.

I have this same problem.  I have a brand new (as in 2 days old) iPhone XS, iOS 13.4.1.  Spotify was working this AM (via CarPlay).  This afternoon it'd flash the "startup" screen (spotify logo on black background) then quit.  I tried removing the app, rebooting the phone, reinstalling the app.  Same result.

Then, I started getting this on the home screen

Home screen with weird "wireframe" Spotify app iconHome screen with weird "wireframe" Spotify app icon

and in the AppStore I get this (indicating that Spotify is still installed):

Appstore.jpg

...but I can't start Spotify.

I followed the thread elsewhere in an effort to do a "clean reinstall" of Spotify, but when I go to iPhone Storage I see no entry for Spotify.

This is frustrating the heck out of me.

Hey @Tristan0105, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Could you try another restart of your device and let me know if you're able to open the app with no problem?

Keep me posted!

Uh...no...not fixed.

I have brand new iPhone XS...iOS 13.4.1 and I see no Spotify App Icon but
when I ope the AppStore I see this:

...but when I click on "Open" nothing happens...the phone goes back to the
home screen.

Then, when I look at iPhone storage, I see no entry for Spotify.

Clearly, the Appstore still *thinks* that Spotify is installed...but it is
not.

Also note that I did a re-boot of my phone prior to executing this test.
So, you all still have some work to do!
