[iOS] Error when sharing to Instagram Stories

My Question or Issue

Can't share anything (playlist, song, album, etc.) to Instagram Stories.  Was working yesterday.  Not working today.

 

Edit 9/27/19:  Tried all the things: reset, uninstall, reinstall, ensured everything was up to date.

 

Update 9/28/19:  Still no updates.  Still not working.  

 

Update 9/29/19:  Tried to uninstall/reinstall Spotify  and Instagram.  Restarted phone.  Went to go see Clairo live lol.  Still not workin'.  But also, I love how the comments below are doubling up as song suggestions for me 😊 keep the screenshots comin'!  

 

Update 9/30/19:  And still no updates.  😩

 

Update 10/1/19:  Updated to iOS 13.1.2... tried the usual troubleshooting methods.  Still not working.

 

Update 12/7/19:  Forgot to update this but this was fixed lol.  Sometimes it's glitchy and I get the same error- but it's fixed.

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this.

This should now be fixed if you update your Spotify app to the latest version.

If updating doesn't help, just let us know and we'll look into it.

Attempting to share a Spotify song onto my Instagram story does not work. I get an error message saying "sorry, we couldn't share to Instagram stories, please try again later". I have restarted my device, deleted and reinstalled both Instagram and Spotify and no luck. I've tried all troubleshooting steps found on this site and would really love to get this issue fixed.

(UPDATED 9/27): Yep, same thing happening to me as well.

Your issue sounds really similar to one 'Ongoing Issues' that can be found here! I recommend you vote on that, hopefully, it'll speed up the process! While it's not exactly the same, I would assume that it is related. The Spotify mods have said that they're looking into things and I'm sure more news will be coming from them soon.

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what I can suggest next!

Same here, last updated Spotify Version, last iOS version, iPhone 8, Premium Plan, Europe.

Same problem on iPhone 7 with iOS 13.1, last version of Spotify and Instagram. I've try to restart device and eliminate/re download the app but the problem remains.
