[iOS] Issue with reordering playlist songs in Edit mode

I have a Premium account in the US and am using an iPhone 7. I used to be able to reorder my own playlists and now I can't. The rearrange icons on the right side are grayed out. I can only add or delete.

Issue should be fixed!

 

Keep in mind that the bars you use to rearrange the order can appear 'greyed out' depending if you use Dark or Light mode.

 

Be sure to do a reinstall if this is not the case. Here's how.

Hope you're doing great!

If you have any filter other than the default one for your playlist you won't be able to reorder the songs inside your playlists.

 

Just exit Edit mode, swipe down then tap on Filters and select Custom.

I didn't know about filters! But mine was already set correctly. I have at least one friend having this same issue.

I am having the same problem and changing the filter to custom on iPhone doesn't solve it.

I've had this problem before and it was because I sorted the playlist, for example, but date added. It needs to be set to the default sort, which would have been what you set when originally creating the playlist.

Yea, I meant sorting for instance by date added, not filtering, but it looks like that only applies to the desktop application.  In regards to your issue, unless someone says otherwise, the sorting has to be done from the desktop application.  I checked from my iPhone and I cannot re-arrange my playlists either, I need to use the Spotify application on my MacBook.

I am also having the same problem. I was able to rearrange playlists with the Edit button less than a week ago, and now it's greyed out, regardless of the Filter applied.

OK, I think I've figured it out. Tap on the 3 lines on the right of a song in Edit mode and hold it for a little bit, and you should be able to move it around.

You're right! It works now. This did not work yesterday.
