[iOS] Liked Songs playlist won't open from Home tab

When I click on my liked playlist it randomly plays a song but I can’t actually go into the playlist and choose a song, I get a message saying “Spotify can’t open this type of link on this device”. I’ve uninstalled the app, made sure it’s updated, made sure my phone is updated, and even restarted my phone and I’m still having this issue.

Thanks for reaching out to us about this - we'll be glad to help you out here.

 

Most common issues can indeed be fixed with a quick reinstall of the app. In some situations however, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way you can start afresh with Spotify on your iPhone. 

 

Check out this help page in order to find the steps for clean reinstall on the affected device. 

 

If it doesn’t do the trick, we’ll provide you with further help.

Bonjour j’ai un problème avec ma page d’accueil, quand j’ouvre mes titre liker depuis le << bonsoir / bonjour >> il me dit que mon appareil ne peut pas le faire alors que si je le fais depuis les << écoutés récemment >> ça marche. J’ai la dernière version de Spotify et j’ai fait la dernière mise à jour IOS

the same thing is happening to me, and i did the instructions on the link for the iphone, but it still didn’t work? can i do anything else? can you fix it?

I’m having the same issue, I deleted and download the app again and I followed the instructions for the clean reinstall and it didn’t work. 😞

First, we'd recommend trying a clean reinstall of the app on your device by following the steps here.

 

If after that you’re still having trouble with this, could you provide us with the following info:

  • your device + OS version
  • the exact Spotify version (see here for instructions)
  • the exact steps to reproduce this issue
  • a screen recording/a series of screenshots which illustrate the issue?

Once we have that, we will pass it on to the relevant team, who will look further into it.

Every time I try to open my liked songs playlist it won’t let me and it says “couldn’t open link” I deleted and downloaded the app and that didn’t work so I did the other clean reinstall option and it still didn’t work. I have an IPhone 8 Plus the OS Version is 13.5.1 (up to date.) The exact Spotify version is 8.5.60.881
