My Question or Issue

I encountered a reproducable UI bug that causes the controls for play/pause controls to disapear for songs without a canvas video. To reproduce just play a song with canvas gif/cover and tap to hide the controls. When the song completes the canvas will skip to the next song (no canvas gif) and the UI will still be missing. Eventhough songs with just an album cover should have a control UI.

There should be a newer version of the app for iOS, namely 8.5.46. Could you try updating to it and let us know what happens?

Hey all,

 

We've received reports from users that the UI controls (play, previous, next etc) are missing after a song with a Canvas video has played.

 

If you are experiencing this, please leave a comment with the following:

 

  • iOS device
  • iOS version
  • Spotify version

We'll look into this and let you know as soon as we have more info.

We've tried reproducing it again and this doesn't happen with the newest version. How are things looking from your side? Are you still experiencing this?
