How in the world could Spotify allow this to happen? Apple is *amazing* about compatibilty testing with even small developers, and there is no excuse for this to be going on. Absolutely ridiculous. And frankly, unacceptable.
This is now fixed, with Spotify for iOS Version 4.4.0:
