iphone bug: now playing and last queue song are invisible

this has been going on for months. the now playing song and last queue song invisible: i can’t see them and i can’t drag or delete the last queue song. i’ve tried logging and and deleting and redownloading the app and that hasn’t worked.

-i'm on an iPhone 6S with iOS 11.2.5 and the latest version of spotify (8.4.40)

Could you let us know what device, operating system, and Spotify version you're using? Also, we'd recommend logging out and back into your account.

Could you try restarting your device by holding Home + Lock for 10 seconds? Does that help? Also, let us know since when are you having this issue.


We'd recommend logging from another account and let us know if it helps.

that did not work, and i do not have access to another account.  i've been having this issue since around the iOS 11 update

By any chance, do you have access to another iOS device to test and see if the issue persists on it?

so, i tested my account on my roommate's iPhone 6S that still is iOS 10 and the problem resolved.  but when she logged in on my phone, she had the problem.

Let's try reinstalling Spotify one more time before trying again to see if it helps. It's odd that this is only happening on your device, and we couldn't replicate it on our end.


If the reinstallation doesn't help, let us know if this happens with any playlist or a specific one. Also, have you noticed if it's the same song that goes missing?

just tried reinstalling and same thing—and the problem persists no matter what i am playing.

i see there is an iOS update (11.2.6), should i do that?

Go ahead and install the new update for iOS. Also, can you let us know if this is happening with a song or playlist in specific? It's also worth a shot resetting your network router.

Hello.  I tried installing the new iOS and that didn't work.  It's not one song or playlist—it's everything.  I am not able to reset my router because I use my university's network.
