my spotify app does not see sonos player

I have sonos play 5 which is connected through Wi-Fi network. o am able to control my sonos through sonos dedicated app. however my premium spotify account application (both on android and windows desktop) do not see sonos as a connecting device. as a result i cannot listen spotify through my sonos player
