Status: Not An Issue

This has been bugging me for years... why does one have to click on a blank space on a page (any page) to enable scrolling?  If I go to an artist page, I should just be able to hit the down arrow to find something I wan tot play, As it is now, I have to click on a blank space on teh page first to enable scrolling. why??????

Thanks for the extra info @drsmithdouglas!

This is currently the expected behaviour of the app as the scrolling is selected by default for the mouse. We'll make sure to pass your feedback to the right team. If anything else comes up, we'll be right here for you.

Take care!

Hi @drsmithdouglas, welcome to the Spotify Community!

To start, can you let us know what device, operating system, and version of Spotify you're using? Also, let us know if it happens to Artists in Your Library and/or just with your playlists.

In the meantime, we recommend you log out and log back in.

We hope to hear from you soon 🙂

Any windows PC, widows 7, latest version (but the behavior was the same for
all previous versions). The issue is that the most convenient way to scroll
down is to use the down-arrow key, not the mouse. In order to use the
down-arrow key, you have to click on an empty space in the window first. Try
it.
