no chromecast device connection from spotify windows pc

Description:

from my windows pc i can not see chromecast device from spotify premium. i payed for premium and for chromecast and i would like it working without workaround ...and if i hadn t a phone??

To reproduce:

N/A 

Workaround:

i have to connect first from my phone

Unfortunately, you can't use Spotify with google chrome cast from desktop yet 🙂

You can suggest the idea over here in the ideas section, though 🙂

@pi123  I definitely understand your concern--before I updated Spotify desktop, google chrome cast WAS working. 

I would suggest going here to access the web player, downloading the google chromecast extension, which works best on google chrome browser as opposed to IE, and then casting the tab.

Good news!

You can now find Chromecast in the connect "devices available" menu in the Spotify desktop app and browser web player. Now you can cast your music to Chromecast from the desktop app without having to use the iOS or Android app.

Make sure your Spotify desktop app is up to date
