"Can't Play Current Track"

Operating System Version: Windows 7

 

Spotify Version: Latest

 

Description: My music is playing. I go to change a track, and suddenly, the track stops playing. A message reads, "Can't play the current track". I reboot the program. Same issue. I try other tracks. I cannot play any tracks. I try clearing the cache, but I still can't play anything. I uninstall and reinstall Spotify to no avail - I still can't play any tracks. I try going to play.spotify.com, but tracks are not playing there either. 

 

This is the second time I've had this issue. Last time, I screwed around for an hour or two and got it working again. This time, I'm pretty well annoyed and don't want to resort to that. I am a premium member and don't appreciate not being able to play music for  $10/month. What can I do to fix this and ensure it never happens again?

 

To reproduce:

  1. Play track
  2. WTH!?!?
  3. ................my $$$ in not action.

Workaround:

Waiting for it.......

I am tired. Apologies for the snark. I realize that it is unnecessary and unhelpful.
