"Connect to device" on ios app doesn't always show all devices available

When I want to play on Chromecast devices, they are often not listed in the "Connect to a device" list that pops up when I press "Devices Available". Most times I get a couple of suggestions, mostly computers in the house, then "More Devices" (which are ios devices) followed by 3 menus: the "Listen on your computer" menu, followed by "Listen on your TV" menu and the "Connect to a Wi-Fi speaker" menu. How can I make the rest of the available devices, aka the Chromecast devices, pop up?

Welcome to the Spotify Community. 

 

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. First, could you try to make sure:

 

  • You have the latest firmware installed on your Chromecast device.
  • Your device is connected to the same WiFi network as your Chromecast.
Then, follow the steps here.
