"This song is not available" on all songs

I cannot play any songs on the player. It was working for a while, then an update (I suppose) happened.

Tried to reinstall and remove cache. Nothing.

Web player works fine.

Tried other sound sources and they all work fine.

Is this a subtle hint to move to competitors because this seems to be a recurring issue?

Hey @Jagtyckeromöl

No worries, it looks like you're running an older version of our app. Can you try updating it?

Let us know if that works.

Hi,

Updated and still got the same version number. Please update the repos.

Interestingly the app works now again. No idea what has changed.

Cheers.

Thanks for trying @Jagtyckeromöl!

We couldn't see the image you sent, can you give it another try?

Let us know if it happens when switching audio output e.g. headphones to speakers. Also is this happening with local files or just any song on Spotify?

We'd like to know the exact operating system you're using, we'll see what to suggest.

Take care.

Hello,

Solved the problem. Root cause was Spotify losing sound after putting computer to sleep. Error message was wrong.
Solution: reset/restart system sounds. Then restart spotify.

Commads to try:
<quote>
pulseaudio -k
</quote>
or
<quote>
/etc/init.d/alsa-utils restart
</quote>

Cheers

Admin please set the title as solved.
