Spotify app on TiVo closes whenever I try to play a song. This applies to all of the content. I have tried signing out and in. I have rebooted the device. The app just closes when I try to play music.

I am having the same issue on TiVo mini.  Tried resetting and power cycling TiVo but Spotify will cause TiVo reset when attempting to play a song. Logging in and navigation works fine.  Only crashes when attempting to play.

I've confirmed with Spotify that this issue was caused by TiVo's software platform update a few months ago. TiVo has to fix it. My frustration is that I have contacted TiVo 3 times and they didn't seem to care or they are unaware of the issue. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone getting this escalated. Hopefully we will have a resolution to this issue soon.

Can you let us know the models and firmware versions of your TiVo devices?

Can you let us know if this issue started happening after an specific update or event? If it's possible, try restarting your TiVo device to see if this helps.

The spotify issues started after the last TiVo platform update. The TiVo
has been restarted. I have pushed the connection. I can log into my
spotify page but the app crashes and restarts the TiVo or nothing plays.

Just to confirm, can you let us know if TiVo has given any updates on the issue you mentioned? 

 

Also, can you try a different connection? Let us know if that makes any difference.
