Probably the album was pulled from spotify. The decision is by the label or artist if they want to have it available for streaming or not. Sometimes it will reappear if Spotify negotiates a new deal.

This happens to me as well. I have an album. I own it. It's loaded in my iTunes at home. Then I try and pull it up in Spotify... No issues. A day later, it's gone again. Can't search for it, doesn't exist.
Even if I download it to Spotify, it vanishes.
I love Spotify, it's great for on the go, but this is a serious flaw. I listen to a lot of obscure stuff. Local bands, etc... Large sections vanish.

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

Spotify wants all the world's music, and they're working hard on making this happen for you. However sometimes agreements can't be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership. Sometimes the music is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others. Sometimes the album or song will be unavailable temporary, and come back again later.
