[All Platforms][Playlists] Donating to BLM

[All Platforms][Playlists] Donating to BLM

With the protests happening yesterday and today in response to police brutality and the senseless murders of several unarmed black people, I think that Spotify should donate a portion or all of the profits they make from people streaming the Black Lives Matter playlist under Black History is Now in discover. There are many avenues to donate, but the simplest would be to Black Lives Matter movement. This is a way for people who can't afford to donate to still support the movement financially and could be a limited action on behalf of Spotify. Here's the donation tab for BLM if any other users want to donate directly

@daemonmonkey I’d suggest you research Black Lives Matter specifically their guiding principles and then try not to mix up the action of 1) far right agitators and 2) small numbers of people claiming to be representing BLM but not adhering to their principles, with the aims of the core organisation.  They are a non violent organisation and you would appear to being either brainwashed by the right wing press or are you knowingly spreading incorrect information?  I wouldn’t be so rude as the question your humanity or otherwise though 😉

@tasmosis
As long as they act as they do and do not renounce and fight violence, they are equally guilty. And what about ALL LIFE MATTERS? Your hypocrisy is remarkable, and your brainwash by the extreme left even bigger. BTW you don't have to question my humanity, as I regard all life matters, not just a bunch of hypocrites.

‘All lives matter’ the bleat of the ignorant.  Seriously educate yourself then if you still have racist views fine.  Btw my politics are centre not left and most certainly not far left. But I do understand the difference between far left politics and anti racism - you sadly don’t.  I won’t change your mind - because your views are ideologically - not fact - led. So signing out now. I won’t be replying again.

Good luck.

@Tazmosius Wow, you think you are "fact led"? LOL

- there was no evidence of racism in the Floyd incident. Excessive force, perhaps, but not racism. (I'm convinced that the cop meant no serious harm given that he was openly kneeling on the suspect while knowing that he was being observed and filmed by members of the public)
- in general, there is no evidence of excessive killings of blacks by police. The data shows the opposite. The MSM will never show you the numbers but you can look them up
- in general, there is no institutional racism in the US except for affirmative action which FAVORS blacks and discriminates against other races.

BLM and the other 'useful idiots' are literally complaining about a problem which is the exact OPPOSITE of reality. In fact, the removal of racism would make things WORSE for blacks, given their current favorable treatment. Try reading a book sometime and stop being so racist.

@Tazmosius
The only one who is ignorant here is you. You are both racist AND lack education. And if you think that you " understand the difference between far left politics and anti racism" then you are really just a brainwashed **bleep**, who thinks that he has facts.

@DevilEars racism and basic human rights are not political views.

LOL! To everyone saying "I don't want my money going towards politics/charities": every dollar you spend at any big corporation supports some organization/charity/political something one way or another. Don't be so daft. Second, BLACK LIVES MATTERING IS NOT POLITICAL...IT'S A FACT. Unless your service changes aka your music stops becoming available, what the **bleep** does it matter where their money goes when it is 1. a good, noble, righteous and necessary "cause", and 2. YOU AREN'T BEING HARMED IN THE PROCESS!!!!!!????!!!??? Like, you're literally mad because Spotify is doing something good for...Black people? Are you ACTUALLY serious?! Anyone who sees something wrong with Spotify stepping up in this way is a literal airhead and doesn't deserve music lol. Who gets mad at a company for supporting something that is completely right. It literally benefits an entire group of people and doesn't affect you at all and that....maddens you? Insanity. Listen to your music and shut up forever.

And that was my unabashed, non-academic response because whoever needs to hear this message is not worth me spending any time making this PSA sound nice with fun facts and historical contexts. Your stupidity is outrageous. -_-

@ james_blonde.  Read a book. (Or are books also a conspiracy against white people? LOL)

I strongly support this. I think Spotify, being  a part of the evil capitalist patriarchy, probably with facilities on lands stolen from indigenous peoples, should begin to donate 50% of their total receipts (note, not profit, but receipts) to the Black Lives Matters organization.

So what part am I wrong on?

> So what part am I wrong on?

i. there is no 'evil capitalist patriarchy'.

ii. there are no facilities on 'stolen lands'. Btw, Spotify is a European company.

iii. there is no way Spotify could donate 50% of its revenue unless you want the company to become bankrupt very quickly.

iv. donating to a terrorist organization like Burn Loot Murder is morally reprehensible and supports murder, assault, senseless destruction of property, hateful racist propaganda, etc.
