Are offers still valid if purchased as a gift card?

There is an offer going right now which gives you 2 months free when you buy one month premium. I would like to get this for a friend.. but if i buy the 1 month premium through a gift card, would I still get the 2 free months?

I do not think so, but you can also clink on the offer and it will take you to the account signin page, log into your account and you will be at the payment screen this will show just Credit card options, there is a green link that says Want to use another payment option, click it and you will be shown other payment options accepted from you. And what payment forms accepted is what the promotion is paid for with.
