Bose Soundtouch speaker won't appear on Spotify App

As of a few days ago. For both me and my wife(Android and iOS respectively) the Soundtouch speaker stopped appearing on the Spotify connect app. I can only connect it using the Bose app which is a hassle since we can only have 1 user account on the speaker. Has this been happening to anyone else? Was it a Spotify update or Bose update? We have Spotify premium... Posting using my old account.

same problem for me with samsung soundbar. I am able to connect to it from iPad, iPhone via iOS as usual, but Spotify won’t show it. I thought it is related to iOS 11 update, but my wife has the same issue and her phone is still iOS 10. We have been using Spotify with Samsung Sounbar for about a year now, but like 3 weeks ago it stopped working - Spotify won’t show Samsung Soundbar in the list of devices 😞
